Ingredients to make Kabuli Chana Pulao
Rice – 1 cup
Chickpeas – 1/2 cup
Ginger paste – 1 tsp
Cumin – 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon – 1 piece
Big cardamom – 2-3
Cloves – 3-4
Green chili – 2
Green coriander – 1 tbsp
Black pepper – 8-10
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Lemon – 1
Desi ghee/oil – 3-4 tbsp
salt – as per taste

How to make Kabuli Chana Pulao
To make Kabuli Chana Pulao, first take Kabuli Chana, clean them and soak them in water for 6-7 hours. Soak rice in water for half an hour. Now coarsely grind all the whole spices including cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and black pepper and keep this spice aside in a small bowl. Now put ghee/oil in a pan and keep it on medium flame to heat.

When the ghee/oil becomes hot, add cumin and coarsely ground spices and fry for a few seconds. After this add finely chopped green chillies and ginger paste and fry them lightly. After this add soaked chickpeas and rice to these spices and mix. Fry rice and gram while stirring for 2 minutes. Now turn off the gas and take out the roasted spices and rice in the microwave cooking bowl and add water double the amount of rice.

After this, put turmeric, lemon juice and salt as per taste in the bowl and cover the bowl and set it in the microwave for 10-12 minutes. Take out the bowl after the fixed time. Your tasty Kabuli Chana Pulao is ready. Serve it by adding green coriander. If you do not have a microwave, then you can do this entire process with the help of a cooker. After 4-5 whistles in the cooker, your Kabuli Chana Pulao will be ready.
