Raw turmeric – 250 grams
Almonds – 1 cup
Jaggery – 1 cup
Gram flour – 1 cup
Green cardamom – 8-10
Chopped almonds – 1 tbsp
Desi ghee – 200 grams

Raw Turmeric Halwa Recipe
To make raw turmeric pudding, first take raw turmeric and peel it, wash it and dry it. After this, cut small pieces of turmeric and put them in the mixer jar. Now pour 2-3 tbsp water in the jar and grind raw turmeric very fine. After this, take 3/4 cup almonds and grind it with the help of a mixer. Now put 4 tbsp desi ghee in a pan and heat it on medium flame.
After melting the ghee, slow down the flame and add ground turmeric to it and fry while stirring. When the turmeric absorbs the ghee well and leaves the rest of the ghee, add finely ground almonds to it, mix and fry for 2-3 minutes. After this turn off the gas. Even after turning off the flame, keep stirring the turmeric-almond mixture in the pan for 1-2 minutes with the help of a ladle. Actually, because of the heat of the pan, turmeric does not turn black, because of this it is run.

Now put 2-3 tbsp ghee in another pan and heat it. After melting the ghee, add gram flour and fry it. When the gram flour turns light pink and smells emanating from it, add crushed jaggery to it and cook on low flame till the jaggery melts. When the jaggery melts well, mix roasted turmeric-almonds in this mixture and add 1 more tablespoon of ghee on top.

Now fry the halwa on medium flame for 1-2 minutes. After this add coarsely ground green cardamom seeds and mix it. After this, cook the halwa for one more minute. After this turn off the gas. Nutritious raw turmeric pudding is ready. After cooling it can be stored in an airtight container. Eat halwa with one or two spoons of milk.
