According to the information, a joint team of Excise Department official Om Prakash Kumar and Anti-Liquor in-charge Vinay Kumar was checking vehicles on NH-2 in Durgavati. Meanwhile, when the police tried to stop a car coming from Uttar Pradesh, the driver increased the speed and started running away. Seeing the car running away, the police also started chasing it. During this, the smugglers’ car fell into the middle of the canal near Kharsara village. At the same time, after this incident, hundreds of villagers gathered to see the car that fell into the canal.

Villager Katwaru Yadav, who was present on the spot, said that the police was chasing a vehicle at a high speed to catch it. While fleeing, the vehicle fell into the canal. During this time, it seemed that how many people would be crushed by the smugglers’ vehicle running at a high speed.

At the same time, the Excise and Anti-Liquor Police present at the scene called for a tractor and pulled the car out of the canal. After that, they took the car along with the liquor into their custody and took it to the police station. At present, further action is being taken by the police.
