What did Kangana Ranaut say about Rahul Gandhi?
In an interview with Mashable India, Kangana was asked, ‘When you were making a biopic on Indira Gandhi, did you meet her family? Did the statements made by you and Rahul Gandhi come in between? I mean, how did you do this biopic because it is quite tricky, isn’t it?’

On these questions, Kangana Ranaut said, ‘Yes, it is very tricky, her life was very tricky. I had all the rights to get every information about her. Rajiv Gandhi ji had launched Indira ji’s biography which was written by Pupul Jayakar. She is the director of my film. So I think Rahul Gandhi will be very happy to see this biopic, yes he will be proud to see this film, I think.’

Does Rahul Gandhi not believe in ‘Emergency’?

Kangana Ranaut further says, ‘Rahul Gandhi should feel proud after watching this film because this biopic was launched by his father and the entire film is based on the same biopic of Pupul Jayakar which is based on facts, so why would he feel sad. If he says that the Emergency did not happen, it is a fictional incident. If he does not want to believe it, then it is a different matter but if he believes it. His grandmother had a lot of courage.’

What did Pupul Jayakar say to Indira Gandhi?

Kangana further said, ‘Indira Gandhi ji once told Pupul Jayakar to write my biography. So Pupul ji said, do you have the courage to listen. If you have the courage to listen to what people said about what you did and said during the emergency, I will write it. Then she wrote it after Indira ji’s death and its rights were given to her by Rajiv Gandhi ji.’

Politicians don’t have the courage to listen to the truth

Kangana Ranaut said about Rahul Gandhi, ‘Now if Rahul Gandhi roams around with the Constitution all day and keeps shouting, what can be done about it. He does not believe it at all, he says it did not happen, so nothing can be done about it. People of that time had the courage to listen, but today’s leaders do not have that.’
