Celebs Reaction On Emergency Ban: Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film ‘Emergency’ has been mired in controversies before its release. Shiromani Akali Dal has sent a legal notice to the CBFC demanding cancellation of the certification given to ‘Emergency’ and a ban on the film. Now, many celebs have reacted to the demand for a ban on ‘Emergency’ and given their opinions.
While talking to NNI, Bhojpuri actress Sambhavna Seth also gave her opinion about ‘Emergency’. She said- ‘Threats keep coming and going. Threats are only meant to be given, they should not be accepted. I think the film has to be released. Sometimes it also seems like a way of publicity. I want to see Kangana in this form after a long time. Her films have not been successful for a long time. Personally, I like Kangana a lot. So I would like to watch the film Emergency.’
Everyone has the right to protest- Raza Murad
Actor and BJP MP Raza Murad said- ‘Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency is in controversy even before its release. A section of people is hurt by its trailer and they are protesting against it. Everyone has the right to protest. This is democracy. Anyone can go to court, this is their right.’
Raza further said- ‘If Kangana feels that injustice is being done to her, she can also knock the doors of the court. The court is open for everyone. The final decision is taken by the court. So I would like to say that films on emergency have been released before but this film is in discussion. If someone’s religious sentiments are hurt, then it spreads unrest in the country and creates a law and order situation.’
‘Our censorship agency works responsibly…’
Raza Murad further says- ‘This should be kept in mind… you can protest, but ours is a democracy. Our censorship agency works responsibly but sometimes they should also think that nothing should be shown that shows someone or a class in a bad light. We cannot say what turn this controversy will take but we would like things to happen peacefully.’
Ashok Pandit gave his opinion
Filmmaker Ashok Pandit has also commented on the protests against ‘Emergency’. Ashok said- ‘India is a democracy. Every filmmaker is free to make a film according to his choice. They try to portray their perception. This is not the first time that such a film has been made. Those who have objections to this film, I want to ask them if they have seen the film.’
Ashok Pandit further said- ‘Imaginatively you cannot object to any film. Legally, after watching the teaser, if you feel that this film is anti-Sikh, then you can go to the censor board. But threatening anyone for this is completely wrong.’
‘Passing judgement like this without seeing…’
Actor Rajesh Khattar said- ‘You should criticize or analyze creative work only after its release. Whatever happens before that, I do not think is justified. After that, if something is objectionable, then raise your voice against it. But passing judgement like this without seeing anything, does not seem right to me on a personal level. Those who are saying this must have their own reasons, but this is not right.’
