A dispute broke out during the Ram Janmotsav procession that took place in Kannauj on Wednesday night. The organizers accused the other party of disrupting the procession. The police somehow took the procession forward. Later, some people involved in the procession sat on a dharna near Thakurdwara temple. Everyone started demanding action on the other side. Meanwhile a large number of police arrived. ASP Dr. Sansar Singh, CO Kamlesh Kumar, Sadar Kotwal Digvijay Singh also reached. The police somehow explained and removed him. Later, a large number of people reached Sadar Kotwali and filed a complaint demanding action. SP Amit Kumar Anand said that the procession passed peacefully. No one tried to stop the procession. There was information about a dispute regarding another religious place on the way. Adequate police force has been deployed on the spot. Nearby CCTV footage is being watched.
