Cow smuggler in police custody

Police have arrested eight cow smugglers belonging to nomadic caste who were camping near Bisma village of Talgram police station area in Kannuaj district. Police have recovered 34 cows from their camp. These have been sent to a cowshed. Two cows found dead were buried. Police station in-charge Parul Chaudhary said that Heera Singh, resident of Police Station Chidwa, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, his wife Rekha, Mohar Singh, resident of Village Sutda, Dabi Police Station of Bundi, Diwan, Birma, resident of Village Bhagwanpura, Parauli Police Station, Bhilwara, Rajasthan, Sikandarpur Lakkhi, Mainpuri, Waje Younis and Suleman who live in front of Neeraj Cold Storage, Talgram Police Station, have been arrested.
According to the police, cattle have been recovered from the smugglers’ camp near Bisma village. Among the smugglers caught, Hira Singh, Mohar Singh, Younis, Suleman are clever criminals. During interrogation, the accused told the police that many times farmers themselves catch stray cattle entering the fields and hand them over to them and they do not have to give anything in return. Apart from this, they themselves roam around the area and catch stray cattle and collect them in their camp. When they have a large number of stray cattle, traders are called and these are handed over to them. The smugglers told that the trader who comes to take the cattle himself arranges for a container or DCM to carry the cattle. Each member of the gang gets five thousand rupees for carrying a container or DCM full of cattle.
