Late Monday night, there was fierce fighting between two groups of MBA students at Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology. Earlier, a group of students had downed the MCV and switched off the lights. One group of students alleged that students from the other group had also invited outside students. Seeing the fight escalating, some students called the police. As soon as the information about the fight was received, Vice Chancellor Prof. AK Singh reached the campus late at night. The matter calmed down after the police and VC explained. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a three-member inquiry committee has been formed.
Questions have been raised many times on the indiscipline of students in CSA. There are frequent cases of fights between students in hostels. Even late at night, there was a fight between MBA third semester students in the hostel. Sources say that many MBA students were creating ruckus. Glass bottles were being thrown at the door. When other students refused, a debate started. Meanwhile, students from one group slapped a student from the other group, after which the matter escalated. The victim group says that the MCV was brought down in darkness and beaten with rods. VC Prof. AK Singh said that a three-member committee has been formed to investigate the matter impartially. Said that guilty students will be given definite punishment. Nawabganj Inspector Dinanath Mishra says that an understanding has been reached between both the parties.
