The soil testing instrument Geo Tester-2 developed by IIT Kanpur will also now give reports on the health of the soil. It will check 12 nutrients in 90 seconds. This device will hit the market in 2025. Earlier, Geo-Tester-1, which tests six nutrients, was prepared by IIT Kanpur. Which is giving the benefit of soil testing to the farmers of many states.

Geo-Tester is an instrument that gives information about Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, EC, Organic Carbon, Clay content. It is already in the market and helping farmers of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu, Maharashtra. This device is also in demand in Africa, Philippines, Nepal, Afghanistan.
