A radius of 100 meters around the zoo will be declared a silence zone. For this, the zoo management will send a letter to the government. According to the zoo director, the increase in noise in the area around the complex is having an adverse effect on the wildlife. According to Director KK Singh, many development works have taken place around the zoo enclosure in the last decade. A large number of new societies and buildings have come up. Due to this, human movement has also increased.
This has had an adverse impact on wildlife. Despite the appeal during Diwali, people from the surrounding population burst loud crackers. In populated areas, songs are played on DJs in celebrations that last till late night. All these things affect animals. Distressed animals often injure themselves. Keeping in mind the health of wild animals, an effort is being made to write a letter to the government and declare a silence zone within a range of 100 meters of the area. Till now there has never been a silence zone around the zoo. Instructions have been given to the concerned officer to prepare the letter. After completing the process soon, a letter will be sent to the government demanding necessary action.
animals getting troubled like this
According to CVO Dr. Anurag Singh, noise has the following side effects on animals:
Animals become violent due to excessive noise.
– It affects the mating process, which affects reproduction.
– Becomes irritable, stops eating and drinking.
– On hearing the sound of DJ, firecrackers etc., they become aggressive in the cage and injure themselves.
– Loud noise increases the blood pressure of animals and adversely affects their heart rate.
– There is a radical change in the behavior of animals. Even a calm animal turns into a scoundrel.
Due to increasing noise pollution, an effort is being made to declare a radius of 100 meters of the zoo enclosure as a silence zone. The concerned officers have been ordered to prepare the report. A letter will be written to the government demanding immediate action. – KK Singh, Director, Zoo
