In Kalyanpur, a cunning medical store owner duped an IIT retired senior citizen of Rs 52 lakh by promising to make him a partner in a hospital. When the senior citizen asked for his money back after not getting the partnership deed made, the accused started threatening him. On the basis of the victim’s complaint, the police have registered a report and started investigating the case.
Hausla Prasad Tripathi, a resident of Nankari in Kalyanpur, is retired from Kanpur IIT. Hausla Prasad told that he had an old acquaintance with Manish Kumar Kanaujia, who runs a medical store at IIT Gate. Munish expressed his desire to open a hospital in partnership with him on Indiranagar Road. By luring him into talks, the accused swindled Rs 52 lakh from him in several installments. When he asked for his money back, the accused started threatening to kill him. Kalyanpur police station in-charge said that a report has been filed on the court’s order and the case is being investigated.
