The Kanwar Yatra of Shravan month will start from July 22 and will end on August 19. While the main festival of Shravan month Shivratri will be celebrated on August 2. DM Joginder Singh has given necessary instructions to the district administrative officers and police officers to ensure the safe completion of the Kanwar Yatra.
DM said that in the month of Shravan, on every Monday falling on 22nd July, 29th July, 5th August, 12th August and 19th August, Jalabhishek will be done in the main Shiv temples of Rampur district. In which arrangements will be made for the devotees in and around the Shiv temples of Rathonda, Bhamraua, Punjabnagar.
Apart from this, worship will be done with Jalabhishek every Monday of the month of Shravan and Shravan Shivratri in the ancient Shiva temple Lakkhibagh police station area Shahbad, Shiva temple village Chandela police station area Bilaspur, Baleshwar temple village Badli police station Tanda and Shiva temple located in village Dilari police station Milkkhanam.
In which every Monday thousands of Shiv devotees will do a pilgrimage on foot from Kanwar Brijghat, Garhmukteshwar, Rajghat and Haridwar and perform Jalabhishek in the major Shiv temples of the district. In which proper arrangements will be made with security at Kosi Bridge, CRPF Chungi, Roadways, Railway Station, Jwalanagar, Ajitpur.
