Counting of votes is underway on 40 Lok Sabha seats of Bihar. Karakat Lok Sabha seat is the center of discussion at the moment. In Karakat, in the initial trends, it seemed that Bhojpuri power star Pawan Singh would win. He was maintaining a lead in the initial trends. But now he has gone to third place. Pawan Singh has got 87 thousand 039 votes. While Upendra Kushwaha has got 93 thousand 606 votes. At the same time, Mahagathbandhan-supported CPI (ML) candidate Rajaram Singh is leading by 40 thousand votes. He has got 1 lakh 32 thousand 712 votes.

Earlier, the NDA supported candidate from Karakat Lok Sabha seat was Upendra Kushwaha and from Mahagathbandhan’s side was Rajaram Singh. In this election, there was a contest between these two leaders only. But Pawan Singh had announced election from Karakat, after which the contest of Karakat became interesting. Political analysts said that Pawan Singh will give a tough fight to Upendra Kushwaha here and it is possible that Pawan Singh may win here. But if we look at the figures till now, it seems that Pawan Singh will lose from Karakat, because he is running at number three.

These castes dominate Karakat

CPI (ML) candidate Rajaram Singh and NDA supported candidate Upendra Kushwaha belong to the Kushwaha community. There is a good number of voters of this caste in Karakat. Pawan Singh, on the other hand, comes from the upper caste. Pawan Singh is called the power star of the Bhojpuri industry. Pawan Singh has a good fan following in the Bhojpuri society. On the other hand, the upper caste vote is considered to be for the BJP. In such a situation, it seemed that Upendra Kushwaha would win the election from Karakat. But with Pawan Singh’s entry, both Kushwaha and Pawan Singh are on the verge of defeat.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, JDU candidate Mahabali Singh defeated Upendra Kushwaha by 84 thousand 542 votes from Karakat seat. At the same time, Upendra Kushwaha had won this seat in 2014. He defeated RJD candidate Kanti Singh.
