Speaking at the Forbes India Leadership Awards 2024, Karan Johar said that he has spoken about ‘Animal’ many times before and many people have agreed and disagreed with him. He said, “There has been a lot of debate on ‘Animal’. People have expressed their opinions, stood for it or against it. Personally, to be honest, I saw it as a character film, it is based on a character. It’s based on someone who was very dysfunctional, inherently violent, with a lot of emotional issues – and I liked its treatment.”
