Karan Johar recently gave an interview to The Week. In this conversation, the film maker has spoken openly about his decision of surrogacy. He also told how his mother reacted to this decision.
Mother gave such a reaction
During this, Karan told that he was 40 years old when he had decided to become a father through surrogacy. Karan said that- ‘When I was 40 years old, my mother had asked me that if you are not going to get married, then what are your plans in life. Then I told them that I wanted children. She was very happy to hear this. But I needed time.
Karan’s children were born before the date.
Karan further told that my mother reminded me again after 2 years. But I told them about surrogacy when the doctors told me that it had been 3 months since I was pregnant. Karan further said that- I expected that the children would be born in April but they were born in February only. I was in the flight at that time and I had to announce it from there itself. Because I knew that many newspapers would print it.
Karan further said that he faces a lot of trolling on social media. But she is happy that both her children i.e. Roohi and Yash get a lot of love on social media. No one makes negative comments for both of them.
