There is such a sweet in Rajasthan’s miniature Kumbh i.e. Kaila Devi fair, whose taste remains intact in this huge fair for 29 years. There would be hardly any person coming to Kaila Maa’s fair who is not aware of the taste of this sweet. Its name is Gulab Lachhe… good to eat. Small children including the local people wait for this sweet throughout the year.

Every year traders of Chitrakoot bring this sweet to the fair. Many people who come to the fair remember their childhood after eating this sweet. The most special thing about this sweet is that even today in the era of inflation, this sweet is fulfilling the hobby of the sweet lovers for Rs.5.

Children tell this dialogue about this sweet
This sweet, which is brought to the fair by the merchants of Chitrakoot, may be found on the footpath. But people of all ages enjoy its taste. Especially children eat and eat this sweet and while drowning in its taste, they also kill each other with dialogues. Rose flakes, good to eat, grab two of 10.

10-year-old Dheeraj, who came to the fair to eat Chitrakoot’s rose flakes, told that we have been eating this sweet for many years. This sweet tastes very good to eat. This sweet is most famous in the fair. Even today this sweet comes for Rs.5. Dheeraj says that as soon as money comes in our pocket, we feel like eating this sweet. The children who came to the fair say that they wait for this sweet throughout the year.

More than 500 pieces are sold by a trader
Rajesh Gupta, who came to sell rose petals from Chitrakoot at Kaila Maa’s fair, says that we have been coming to this fair for 29 years to sell rose petals from Chitrakoot. People of all ages including elders and women are crazy about these Gulab Lachho. Every year 5 traders from Chitrakoot come to this fair of Kaila Maa. The trader says that this Gulab Lachha, which is sold for 5 rupees, is liked so much that every trader’s plate of 500 Gulab Lachhas becomes empty everyday in this fair.

400 rose petals are made in 1 hour
Rajesh Gupta, the businessman who makes Gulab Lachhe, told that this sweet is made by pulling sugar syrup like Gajak. Sugar syrup is first taken to make rose flakes. Then rose flakes are made by roasting refined flour in it and mixing both together and stretching them. In about 1 hour, 400 rose petals are prepared.
