Karnataka Government Has Released Rs 223 Crore To Farmers For Tuar Crop Loss


Crop Compensation In Karnataka: Farmers have not received the 13th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. The farmers are eagerly waiting to get into the installment account. However, continuous steps are being taken by the Central Government that in any case the installment should not reach the account of the ineligible. Now this state government has taken steps in this regard. The state government has released a compensation of crores of rupees to the farmers.

223 crore released for tur crop loss
In Karnataka, farmers suffer loss of pulses crops. Now it has been announced by the state government that 223 crore rupees will be given to the farmers for the compensation of tur (arhar) crop loss. According to the order, crop damage to tur in Bidar, Kalaburagi and Yadgiri has been considered as special in the district.

Compensation will be given at the rate of Rs 10000 per hectare
According to the order issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, the state government has announced to give 10 thousand rupees per hectare to the farmers. But according to the guidelines of NDRF or SDRF, a farmer will get compensation only for a maximum of 2 hectares of crop.

60 lakh farmers are registered
According to statistics, about 60 lakh farmers are registered under PM Kisan Yojana. All the farmers who take advantage of PM Kisan will be given the benefit of this scheme. According to the government statement, compensation of Rs 223 crore will be given to the tur growers. About 2.2278 lakh hectare crop of tur has been affected. Before now, the Bihar, Jharkhand government had also issued financial assistance to the drought-affected farmers. In Jharkhand, more than 200 blocks were affected by drought.
