Neha Hiremath Murder: BJP national president JP Nadda on Sunday (April 21) visited the family of Neha Hiremath, a 23-year-old college student from Karnataka who was murdered. He met the family members and said that if the police is not able to provide justice to the family, then there should be a CBI investigation.
Neha Hiremath, daughter of Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation Congress councilor Niranjan Hiremath, was stabbed to death by her former classmate Faiyaz on April 18 in the BVB College campus. There were widespread protests regarding the incident.
Nadda said – BJP will cooperate in CBI investigation
Nadda expressed condolences to the family of Neha Hiremath. Later, Nadda said that if there is a need to hand over the investigation of the case to CBI to ensure justice to the victim, BJP will cooperate. He said that if the state police is unable to investigate the case, he will request the state government to hand over the case to the CBI.
Nadda told reporters, ‘I expressed my condolences to the family and have come here to stand with them in this hour of grief. What I heard from her (Neha’s) father and the way her mother narrated the incident, it is a very heart-wrenching incident.
Nadda targeted CM Siddaramaiah
JP Nadda said that whatever CM Siddaramaiah and Home Minister G Parameshwara said in this matter will affect the investigation of this matter and weaken the case. The BJP president said that the victim’s father has also demanded a CBI inquiry and he too does not trust the state police.
Let us tell you that 23 year old student Neha Hiremath was murdered in the college itself by a young man named Faiyaz. He killed Neha by stabbing her in broad daylight. After this, right wing organizations are targeting the Congress government of Karnataka by calling it love jihad. The victim’s father also said that if this is not love jihad then what is it. He had said that he had known Faiyaz for a long time. He had proposed to Neha, when she refused, he killed Neha.
