It was around 9:15 am on Wednesday. The scene in the narrow lanes of Karol Bagh was like any other day. People were going to and fro for their work. Some children were also strolling in the lane. Meanwhile, a building in the lane collapsed. The explosion shook the adjacent houses and a cloud of dust entered the nearby houses. Before people could understand anything, there was screaming all around. There was an atmosphere of chaos in the lane. The entire area started echoing with cries of “save me, save me”.
