There was a crowd of devotees in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham on Sunday. From Mangala Aarti till late night, more than four and a half lakh devotees offered darshan and worship. In view of the crowd and sunlight, the temple is regularly providing ORS solution to the devotees. On Sunday, the servants served 1734 glasses of ORS.

Only after Mangala Aarti on Sunday, the queue of devotees started forming at Baba’s Dham. Devotees were moving slowly from Godaulia to Bansfatak. Local shopkeepers said that some devotees had become unconscious in the afternoon due to the strong sunlight. He was brought back to consciousness by giving him water.

Inspector Chowk Vimal Mishra said that based on information from local shopkeepers, a police team was sent to the area. But no devotee was found in critical condition. The temple administration said that they had also conducted an investigation on the information that the devotees were unconscious, but no such devotee was found.

Chief Executive Officer Vishwabhushan Mishra said that the servants of the Dham have been providing water and ORS to the devotees for the last two days. ORS is being given compulsorily to small children. On April 6, 983 glasses of ORS were served to the devotees. On April 7, ORS was given to 1734 devotees.
