Arvind Kejriwal’s government in Delhi is seen in action after getting the power from the Supreme Court. First a proposal was sent to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena to remove Services Secretary Ashish More and now a proposal has been sent to the Central Government to remove the Chief Secretary of Delhi. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has sought consent from the Center through the Lieutenant Governor. The Delhi government wants to replace Naresh Kumar with PK Gupta as chief secretary. For which the Delhi government has sent a proposal to the Centre. Please tell that PK Gupta is an IAS officer of 1989 batch and is currently ACS (GAD).
Delhi government is preparing to replace the service secretary as well.
On the other hand, the Delhi government on Wednesday sent a proposal to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena to remove Services Secretary Ashish More and give the post to AK Singh. The decision was taken after a meeting of the Civil Services Board. In this, the officials did not express any disagreement on the removal of the service secretary. After this, the Delhi government sent a proposal to the Lieutenant Governor to make AK Singh the new service secretary.
In this proposal, the government, citing the Supreme Court, said that the Lieutenant Governor is bound to follow the advice of the elected government. The Delhi government has tried several times to remove the services secretary. After the order of the Supreme Court, Minister of Services Department Saurabh Bhardwaj ordered the removal of the present Services Secretary but he was not removed from the post.
