All is not well for the two major constituents of the Indy Coalition. In the by-election, SP has given only two seats to Congress including Khair. In the by-elections, Samajwadi Party has defeated Congress by giving two seats in the state. She herself is contesting elections on eight seats. If the rift between SP and Congress continues over seats, then surely this seat will be challenging for Congress? Because SP workers will not mobilize strongly for the Congress candidate in Khair. At present, workers of both the parties are still confused.

Akhilesh Yadav’s attitude has changed somewhat due to his good performance in the Lok Sabha elections. Therefore, SP had already started fielding its candidates in the by-elections to be held on 10 seats in the state. Congress had demanded five seats in the state including Khair. But, SP has declared its candidates on seven seats. SP’s arbitrariness has created a stir among Congress leaders. Its effect can be seen well on the assembly seat. However, Khair seat has never been in SP’s account.
