The Khat-Khat gang in Agra has become active again in the city. In Rakabganj police station area, they stole two mobile phones worth Rs 1.67 lakh from the car of the Assistant Development Officer. They fled when he raised an alarm. They could not chase them due to traffic jam on the road. The police have registered a case and are taking action. Earlier also, the gang has committed crimes at Madia Katra Tiraha, Shahganj, Rambagh and other places.
Rishi Kumar Singh, a resident of Shakti Nagar of Sadar police station area, is posted as Assistant Development Officer in Khandauli block. He told that on 26th June he had gone to Vikas Bhawan located at Sanjay Place for office work. At around 6 in the evening he left in his car to go home. On the way, there was a jam near Rawli on MG Road. During this time 4 youths came. One youth first came to the front of the car. Then he went to the back and knocked the car hard. Then the conductor came to the side and started arguing.
Meanwhile, another youth arrived. He also started knocking on the window loudly. They opened both the windows. During this, one of the youths took out two mobile phones including an iPhone-30 from the seat and took them away. When they raised an alarm, the youths fled. Due to another car parked nearby, they could not even open the window and chase the accused. They told that the police registered the case after 9 days.
The mobile was switched on on 2nd July and the company had sent the location
Rishi Kumar Singh said that his iPhone was switched on on July 2. At that time, the company had informed about the location through mobile and mail. On checking, the location was coming of Raebareli. On this, he informed the police station. It is alleged that if the police had taken action at that time, perhaps the accused would have been caught along with his mobile.
