Popular TV actress Sumona Chakraborty will soon be seen in Rohit Shetty’s stunt reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. Sumona, who always does comedy, will now be seen doing tremendous stunts. The actress has proved that it is not easy to score big in the industry without struggle.
In the year 2011, Sumona Chakraborty appeared in the TV show ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’. After this, the actress became a part of ‘Comedy Circus’ and ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil Show’. Now soon Sumona will play with dangers in the stunt-based reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 14’.
Recently Sumona Chakraborty talked about the struggle behind buying her first house in Mumbai. In an interview with Indian Express, Sumona Chakraborty recalled the days when she had to face difficulties to buy her first house.
Sumona said, ‘I bought my first house when I was 26 years old. It was a simple and small apartment in Mumbai and everyone knows that actors do not have a fixed salary like office workers. I still remember how the bank people were reluctant to give me a loan because I did not have a fixed salary.’
The actress further said that, ‘The bank considers giving a loan to a person with a salary of Rs 20,000 a safe option, but giving a loan to an actor becomes a big risk for the bank. This thing is a big challenge for us actors.
Further in the conversation, Sumona said, ‘As an actor, we have the option of EMI and the biggest achievement of my life was when I was able to repay the home loan after a lot of struggle.’
Sumona feels that every woman should have a roof over her head above everything else. The actress emphasised on how she feels that nothing is bigger for a woman than a roof over her head. Sumona said, ‘I always tell the girls of my country that it is very important to have your own roof.’
