‘Khel Khel Mein’ movie review: Akshay Kumar is back with comedy and emotion

After ‘Sarfira’, Akshay Kumar has come up with another new film, named ‘Khel Khel Mein’. Now you must be wondering how Akshay’s film is this time? You will like the film, but it is a bit difficult to tell how much you will like it. By the way, you will get to see a lot of comedy as well as emotions in the film. After years, Fardeen Khan has also appeared on the big screen through this film. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, this is a multi-starrer film, in which Vaani Kapoor, Amy Virk and Taapsee Pannu are also in important roles.

Akshay’s last film ‘Sarfira’ was not successful in doing wonders at the box office, although the film was not bad, just the story was old. Perhaps because of this the film could not get many viewers, but let us tell you what wonders Akshay’s film can do this time. First of all, let us tell you about the story of the film.

These days we talk about original content, in ‘Khel Khel Mein’ you are going to get something similar and different. In the film, you will get to see a strange kind of game, which you would not have even thought of. The whole film is based on this game, in which you get fun as well as punishment. Actually, in the film, Akshay Kumar (Rishabh Malik), Vaani Kapoor (Vartika Khanna), Amy Virk (Harpreet Singh), Taapsee Pannu (Harpreet Kaur), Aditya Seal (Samar Tanwar), Pragya Jaiswal (Nayana Mehra Tanwar) and Fardeen Khan (Kabir) are all good friends and all gather to attend the wedding of Rishabh Malik’s sister-in-law i.e. Vartika Khanna’s younger sister.

After the sangeet ceremony, Rishabh takes all his friends to his room, where his wife Vartika asks everyone to play a game to pass time. This game is such that everyone has to put their phone on the table and make it public, that is, whoever’s call, message or mail comes, everyone will see it. At first, Rishabh, Harpreet, Samar and Kabir refuse to play this game, but later everyone is forced to play this game. Well, many things happen during this game, which will make you laugh and at many places you will also get emotional. This is a good entertaining film, which you will definitely like to watch once.

Talking about acting, looking at Fardeen Khan, you will not feel at all that you are seeing him on the big screen after years. Earlier, he was seen in the web series ‘Heeramandi’. At the same time, in this film, Fardeen has brought his character from ‘No Entry’ to life. Along with Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Amy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal have also done justice to their characters. Let us tell you, this is Amy’s second Bollywood film after ‘Bad News’ and this time too Amy will win the hearts of all of you.

Mudassar Aziz’s direction is amazing, but the film has some flaws. The first half of the film is quite great, but the pace of the film slows down in the second half, due to which you will feel bored at many places. Overall, you will definitely want to watch this film once. 3 stars for the film from me.
