Rajiv Mehta on Good Roles: Actor Rajiv Mehta is known for the role of Prafulla Parekh. He was seen playing this character in the popular show Khichdi and was highly appreciated. Now the actor has expressed disappointment about not getting good roles in TV and films.
Speaking to Times of India, he said, ‘I am underrated. Even after working in shows and films like Khichdi, I never got good roles from the makers. When I started my film career with Rangeela, no one took notice of me. But when Aamir asked the waiter to turn the AC towards him, it became a hit. It was a very small role, it was a good start because of good dialogues and humor.
‘Did not get good offers’
He further said- ‘I did the film Buddha Hoga Tera Baap and that did not work but I enjoyed acting in it. I am shooting for Neeraj Pandey’s film. Despite working with talented makers, I never got good offers. I have been a part of shows like Khichdi and Baa Bahu Aur Baby, I never wanted to do daily soaps and father-in-law roles. Good content is not being made in daily soaps.

His funny style in Khichdi was liked a lot. Rajeev’s comic timing was excellent.
