Kiran Rao suffered the pain of miscarriage many times
In an interview given to Zoom, Kiran said that she had suffered multiple miscarriages. Stating that she really wanted to become a mother, Kiran said, “The year Dhobhi Ghat was built, the same year Azad was born. And I tried very hard to have a child. For five years, I had to face a lot of miscarriages, a lot of physical health issues. It was very difficult for me to have a child, I was really excited to have a child, so when Azad was born… I didn’t have to take any decision. Obviously, I just wanted to raise my child.
Kiran stayed away from direction for 10 years

Regarding this, Kiran further said in the interview, “I enjoyed living with Azad very much. Those were some of the best years of my life.
