Vegetables are coming from outside
In this, the price of 50 kg katta in wholesale is Rs 1300, 1400, while in retail it is Rs 30-35 per kg. Tomatoes are being procured from Shivpuri, Aurangabad, Baira Hut, Chaumu Mandi. Onions are arriving from Alwar and Jaipur mandi and chillies are arriving from Khandar. Apart from this, water chestnut is reaching Mandi from Sagar of Masalpur.

Delay in chilli-tomato production
This time, there has been a delay in the production of tomatoes and chillies due to continuous heavy rains during the monsoon season. It is estimated that tomato crop has been harvested in very few places. This is the reason why this time tomatoes have not yet arrived in the market from local areas. In vegetable retail price, cabbage is Rs 20 per kg, tomato is Rs 25-30 per kg, chilli is Rs 30-35 per kg, water chestnut is Rs 20 per kg, spinach is Rs 10 per kg, onion is Rs 60-70 per kg, potato is Rs 30-35 per kg and coriander is Rs 40 per kg.
