A study conducted by home cleaning service company HomeAglow has revealed that house cleaning burns calories rapidly. In its study, the company asked 10 professional cleaners to clean 5 houses while wearing a Fitbit, and then analyzed the calories burned while cleaning each room. This has given surprising results.

This study revealed that professional cleaners cleaning a 1 BHK flat burned an average of 830 calories. This result is equivalent to a vigorous workout lasting more than one and a half hours. Whereas the result of cleaning a 3 BHK flat was 1,311 calories burned.

According to the data obtained from this study, professional cleaners burned the most calories while cleaning the kitchen. During this, an average of 276 calories were burnt. This is equivalent to 40 minutes of jogging. The result of the study shows that cleaning can give better results than gym in burning calories. If you just do scrubbing and mopping in the kitchen, then there is no need for a separate workout to maintain weight.
