Where is Akbar’s tomb
Akbar’s tomb is in Sikandra, Uttar Pradesh. It is said that Akbar had started building the tomb for himself even before his death. Although this tomb was incomplete till Akbar’s death, it was later completed by his son Jahangir. This tomb of Akbar was completely ready in 1613.
Talking about Akbar’s tomb, it is situated on the Agra Mathura National Highway. This tomb is based on Lodi architecture. It is built like a five-storey building. Akbar’s tomb is in the lowest part of this building. Marble stones have been used to build this entire tomb. There are nine arched halls and gardens all around it. Let us tell you that when this tomb was built, the Yamuna river was flowing adjacent to it, but now it is about a kilometer away from it.
