Kolkata rape murder case vivek agnihotri slams there is no safety and security and women are victims of rape and molestation

Vivek Agnihotri On Kolkata Case: Protests, rallies, sloganeering and doctors’ strike are going on across the country regarding the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata Medical College. People and doctors are filled with anger against the rapist and the West Bengal government. People across the country are venting their anger on this and are expressing their protest.

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has also expressed his opinion on this issue. He has also demanded justice for the victim and stressed on justice. The filmmaker has also talked about the condition of Bengal.

Police and government failed in Bengal
Focusing on the issue of Bengal, Vivek Agnihotri told ANI, ‘The police and the government have failed miserably in Bengal. If we want the Great Bengal back to be like before, then we will have to change the entire political system here. The rape of a girl is being used as a political weapon. The Bengal government did not take any action in Sandeshkhali and is not taking any action in this either.’

Is West Bengal in a bad shape?
Vivek said about the condition of Bengal, ‘Why did people sacrifice so much? The real reason was that we thought that after independence we have the right to live life, life will get dignity and value. I have been doing research on this and also conducting interviews, apart from this I often come to West Bengal. Everywhere people tell me three things, first that West Bengal is in a bad condition, second that there is no security here and women are becoming victims of rape and molestation as part of political strategy.’

Comparison of West Bengal with Kashmir
Vivek Agnihotri said that ‘there is no hope in the future. I never believed in these things. But the way the RG Kar Hospital incident happened is very shameful. I don’t understand what was the need to hide it, even the Supreme Court said the same thing’.

Vivek Agnihotri, who joined the rally regarding the protest going on in Kolkata, compared Bengal to Kashmir and said that ‘both have the same DNA. Apart from this, he also said that Bengal and Kashmir are the two places in the country where I cannot shoot’.
