Krystle D Souza Opened up on TV working condition said she worked for 60 hours many time fainted


Krystle D’Souza On Working In TV: Crystal D’Souza needs no introduction today. After earning a lot of name on TV, the actress made her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Chehre’. Crystal got a chance to share the screen with Amitabh Bachchan in her very first film. After this, Crystal appeared in a strong role in Riteish Deshmukh and Fardeen Khan-starrer, ‘Visfot’. The film was released on 6 September 2024. Now in an interview, Crystal has made a shocking revelation about the working conditions in the TV world.

Worked continuously for 60 hours
In fact, in an interview given to Siddharth Kannan, Crystal talked about her struggle in the TV industry. During this, Crystal told how difficult it was to work on the set of the show produced by Balaji. She told that at that time the shooting used to go on for 30 days and for 20-30 hours continuously.

Krystle said, “I started with Rs 2,500 per day. At that time, there was no rule that said shooting had to stop after 12 hours. Even governing bodies like CINTAA would not get involved. I have even shot continuously for 60 hours, we used to shoot every day because the telecast was either for the same day or the next day.”

Crystal used to faint on the set
Crystal further said that she also fainted due to working for many hours continuously. The actress said, “I have fainted on the set many times. They would call an ambulance, put me on an IV drip, give me medicines and then I would come back to the set. There was no time to go to the hospital. They would bring the hospital to the set and put you in the ambulance. This was affecting me a lot and anyway I was not able to stop you

Crystal gave the credit of her success to Ekta Kapoor
Even though the working conditions on Ekta Kapoor’s sets were not humane, Krystle believes that she gives the credit of her success to the makers. She shared a funny anecdote about her meeting with Ekta when she was bunking college.

Krystle said that she was ‘chilling’ outside her college when Ekta stopped her car and asked her if she wanted to become an actress. Krystle said “yes”. Ekta then asked her to come for a meeting. Krystle said, “So I went for a meeting, then I gave an audition, and I had a placard that said ‘Krystle’ with a ‘K’ on it. I think that’s what did it for her. She said, ‘I found my Kinjal.’
