The dead body of an ANM working at the Mother and Child Welfare Center located in Dumahi village under Sevarhi police station area of Kushinagar district was found hanging from the ceiling fan. Asha, who went to the ANM for some work late at night, raised an alarm after seeing the dead body hanging from the fan. On receiving the information, the police reached and sent the body for postmortem. ANM is said to be a resident of Moradabad district.
Prima facie, the matter of ANM’s suicide is coming to the fore. It is being told that Deepshikha Gautam, 28-year-old wife of Prakash Rao Gautam, a resident of Sarari Panju village under Kundekari police station area of Moradabad district, was appointed on a contractual basis three years back.

His posting was at the Mother and Child Welfare Center (ANM Center) located in Dumahi of Sewrahi police station area. She lived with her two children Vishakha Gautam and Dipankar Gautam in the residence built at the sub-centre. On Sunday night around 11.30 pm, the village’s Asha Sunita reached the ANM’s residence for some work. There the dead body of the ANM was hanging from the fan by a dupatta. On the information of Asha, Dr. Arvind Kumar, Medical Officer of Dudahi Community Health Center reached the spot along with the medical personnel.
On getting the information, Police Station President Sanjay Kumar also reached the spot. When the police reached inside by breaking the door, Deepshikha was found hanging from the fan. The body was brought down. Police sent the dead body for postmortem in the night itself. The family members of the deceased have been informed.
