New Delhi. After the death of three students in an accident in the basement of a coaching institute in Rajendra Nagar, the Delhi government has come into action. The government is going to make a law to control coaching institutes. Through this Coaching Institute Regulation Act, irregularities of the institutes will be stopped. A committee will be formed for this, in which students of coaching institutes will also be included along with officials of Delhi Government, MCD.

Delhi’s Education Minister Atishi, while talking to the media on Wednesday, said that a law will be brought to curb illegal activities and arbitrariness of coaching institutes. Through this law, all important points including necessary infrastructure in coaching institutes, curb on arbitrary fees, ban on misleading advertisements and qualification of teachers will be regulated. Atishi said that there is a coaching industry across the country, but till now there is no central law to control these institutes. We will not wait for the central government to make a law.

The irregularities of coaching institutes will be curbed through Coaching Institute Regulation Act. To make the law, the government will form a committee, which will include officials of Delhi Government and MCD and students of coaching institutes. For this, the government has sent an email to coaching.law.feedback,gmail.com has been released. Education Minister Atishi has appealed to the people and students of Delhi to give suggestions on this. Atishi said that just as private schools and private hospitals are regulated under laws, the Delhi government will bring a law for coaching institutes.

These things will be taken care of

.The minimum infrastructure a coaching institute should have will be taken into consideration.

. Minimum qualifications for teachers will be maintained.

. Arbitrary fees will be curbed.

. Misleading advertisements of coaching centres will be banned.

. Through the new regulation, coaching centers will be inspected from time to time.

Officials found guilty in the investigation will not be spared: Education Minister

The Education Minister said that the death of three students due to waterlogging in the illegal basement of the coaching centre on last Saturday is shocking. Any officer found guilty in the investigation of this case will not be spared. He said that on receiving information about waterlogging, various government agencies reached there and orders for magisterial investigation were given by 11 pm. The Revenue Department was given 24 hours for this. The interim investigation report came on 29 July.
