Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has put a stop on the transfer of teachers working in Delhi government schools. On Sunday, a delegation of teachers’ Prati Nidhi Mandal along with BJP MPs met Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. During the meeting, the teachers put forth their views. On this, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena said that he is constantly trying for better service conditions for government employees. He has advised the Chief Secretary and the Directorate of Education to adopt a sympathetic, holistic and fair approach to the recent transfer orders related to teachers. He also suggested that the orders be kept on hold in the interim period.
Transferred against the orders of the minister: Atishi
Delhi’s Education Minister Atishi said that despite the government’s order, the officials transferred five thousand teachers on July 2. These are the teachers who have made the results of Delhi government schools better than private schools in the last 10 years. It is because of these teachers that government school children got admission in IIT. The teachers were improving the education system of Delhi in collaboration with the Kejriwal government. But the BJP got these teachers transferred with the help of LG. But the day this order came, we had also promised that nothing wrong will be allowed to happen to any teacher. It is because of the pressure of the Delhi government that today people have had to withdraw this order.
