The court of Additional Sessions Judge Suman Kumar Diwakar of Civil Court, Darbhanga on Wednesday sentenced nine criminals to life rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 11 lakh in the kidnapping case of Raman Kumar Thakur alias Chunnu Thakur, a businessman running a gold and silver shop.

Let us tell you that FIR 2/20 in the kidnapping case of Raman Thakur was lodged in Singhwara police station by the kidnapped father Vishnudev Thakur. In this FIR it was said that a ransom of Rs 5 crore was demanded by making a mobile phone call to kidnapper Thakur. After increasing the police investigation, a kidnapper was arrested and after 14 days, based on his confession, Raman Thakur alias Chunnu Thakur was recovered by the police.

The prosecution was conducted by Public Prosecutor Nasruddin, while the cooperating informant’s advocates Rishabh Srivastava and Anil Kumar Singh said that in the ransom case of Rs 5 crore, nine criminals have been sentenced to life rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 11 lakh.

He told that Ajay Singh, Naval Kishore Sahni, Ajay Kishore Singh Kaurav Army of Shivhar district, Hamid Khan alias Hameed of Vaishali district, Suman Kumar alias Lalbabu, Ravi Ranjan, Amarendra Kumar Singh, residents of Muzaffarpur district and Bablu Jha Rohit of Sitamarhi district. Kumar has been sentenced under Section 364 A of IPC, life rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5 lakh, under Section 328, five years imprisonment and Rs 50 thousand fine, while under Section 344, 2 years imprisonment and Rs 50 thousand fine, along with other sections, he has been sentenced. .
