Eidgah litchi is ripe
When the team of Local 18 reached the garden of Idgah, farmer cum businessman Mohammad Nizamuddin told that litchi is plucked here first of all. This is where it goes first, this time also the litchi here is ready first. It is being packed and sent to Azadpur Mandi in Delhi. The farmer told that we do not get orders for this. We send goods to the market from here. The farmer further said that this is our first harvesting. Its price will be at least ₹125 to ₹130 and should not be less than that.
Shahi Litchi is at the forefront
According to Dr. Sunil Kumar, scientist of Litchi Research Center, there are many varieties of litchi and the time of flowering and ripening of fruits is different in all varieties. In the Shahi Litchi crop, flowers appear earlier, whereas in the China variety, they appear a little late. Therefore there is a difference of 10 to 15 days in harvesting.
