Due to all this, it has been claimed in the opinion poll that he may face a big setback in the next elections.

Large population of Matua community in West Bengal

It is also believed that a big reason for this is that a large population of Matua community lives here in West Bengal. The population of this community in Bengal is said to be more than 2 crores. This community is considered to have a good hold on more than 40 assembly seats in Nadia, North and South 24 Parganas districts of West Bengal. Krishnanagar seat is adjacent to the border of Bangladesh.

Matua community plays a decisive role in 7 parliamentary seats

In the Lok Sabha elections, there are at least 7 such parliamentary seats in this area where the vote of the Matua community is considered to be very decisive. This time Lok Sabha Elections Before this, the Modi government is fully prepared to implement the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) law in the country. With the implementation of this law, BJP in Bengal can make a big dent in the vote bank of this community. This seems to give them hope of getting asylum and citizenship here, which can benefit BJP.
