Lok Sabha Election 2024: Congress is targeting BJP regarding its manifesto. Meanwhile, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has made serious allegations against Congress. He claimed that Congress had planned a religious census in the armed forces.

Rajnath Singh said in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday (April 24) that the previous Congress government at the Center had tried to create a division in the country’s armed forces by recommending a religious census, news agency ANI reported.

The Defense Minister alleged that, “The Congress government had constituted the Sachar Committee, which had recommended religion-based census in the armed forces in 2006. Congress in its manifesto (then Lok Sabha Elections) had also indicated reservation for religious minorities. If they had introduced reservation for religious minorities and given this idea to the armed forces, it would not have been good for the unity and integrity of the country.

He said, “What worries me most is that whatever the Congress has put in its manifesto in the name of minority welfare, it echoes the ideas and recommendations of the Sachar Committee report. He said that the oldest party It is trying to implement ‘religion-based reservation’ which shows the real face of Congress.

Appeasement is in Congress’s DNA- Rajnath

Rajnath alleged that the promises made by Congress in its manifesto are going to divide our society. Sections 3 and 6 under the minority chapter in their manifesto reveal their real intentions. This is a party which has divided the country on religious lines and has done appeasement, this is in its DNA.
