Voting is to be held on May 13 in the fourth phase for Kheri and Dhaurahra Lok Sabha seats in Lakhimpur district. For this, the process of departure of polling party from the Mandi complex started on Sunday morning. From eight in the morning, their duties started being distributed to the personnel. Duty distribution was done assembly wise. Duty list was also pasted for the convenience of the personnel. Voting is to be held at 2890 booths in the district. An equal number of polling parties were sent for this. 289 polling parties have been kept in reserve. Assembly-wise vehicles were parked to transport the personnel to the polling booths.
Voting is to be held for Kheri and Dhaurahra Lok Sabha seats in the district. 18,62,469 voters will exercise their franchise in Kheri. 17,13,971 voters from three assembly constituencies of the district and two of Sitapur district will cast their votes for the Dhaurahara Lok Sabha seat. 1638 polling stations have been created in all the assembly constituencies of the district. There are 2890 booths at these centres. The administration has completed all preparations at the booths. Lighting, cleanliness and arrangements have been made. Polling parties will reach all the booths by late evening.
24 zonal, 207 sector magistrates will take responsibility
24 zonal magistrates have been deployed in the district to ensure peaceful and fair voting. Also 207 sector magistrates were appointed. Other officers have also been given responsibility. ADM Sanjay Kumar Singh said that all preparations for conducting the voting have been completed. A health camp was set up at the polling party departure point, Galla Mandi premises. Four doctors were deployed in it. Two ambulances have also been deployed with paramedical staff.
