Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Odisha, Smriti Irani, who is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, fiercely targeted the Biju Janata Dal (BJD). During this, she also attacked VK Pandian, a close aide of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

While addressing a rally in Odisha, Smriti Irani said, ‘Odisha is being governed by contractors from Tamil Nadu. She said that the state is being run from Tamil Nadu through remote control. That is why they are completely unaware of the natural disasters here.

Attacking VK Pandian, Smriti Irani said, ‘Contractors remote control the BJD government. Tamil contractors Narendra Modi The money sent by the government has been looted. The money sent for drinking water supply under the Jal Jeevan Mission programme has been looted by Tamil contractors.’

Amid the growing controversy over the missing keys of the Ratna Bhandaar (treasure) of the Shree Jagannath temple in Puri, Smriti Irani said that the culprits will be punished if the BJP forms a government in the state. She also alleged that the Odisha chief minister is being held ‘captive’ (by a group of bureaucrats) and is unable to speak freely.

Women will get a voucher of Rs 50,000

During this, Union Minister Smriti Irani said, ‘If the BJP government comes in the state, women will be given a voucher of Rs 50,000 under the Subhadra scheme.’ In the rally, Union Minister Smriti Irani appealed to the people to vote for the BJP and make it win.
