On Tuesday, the festival of democracy, 38.16 lakh voters of Bareilly and Amla will exercise their franchise to choose their leader in the Lok Sabha elections. To ensure peaceful conduct of voting, teams of district administration and police became active as soon as the polling parties reached the polling stations. Central forces have been deployed at sensitive and highly sensitive polling stations. 35 companies of central security forces along with five companies of PAC have been deployed in the elections. According to the data received from the District Election Office, there are 3089 booths in five assembly constituencies of Bareilly and three of Amla. While Amla Lok Sabha comprises two assembly constituencies of Badaun district, there are 896 polling booths and equal number of polling parties. There are 19,24,434 voters in the five assembly constituencies of Bareilly Lok Sabha constituency, Bareilly City, Bareilly Cantt, Nawabganj, Bhojipura, Mirganj.

There are 18,91,713 voters in Aonla including the three assembly constituencies of Bareilly, Faridpur, Aonla, Bithri Chainpur and Shekhupur, Dataganj of Badaun. Those who will leave their homes to vote today. There are 1959 booths in Bareilly Lok Sabha constituency. Of these, 332 booths in Bareilly and 305 booths in Amla (97 booths in Shekhupur and Dataganj) are critical. For the first time, 62,513 voters will exercise their franchise in Bareilly and Amla Lok Sabha. There are all necessary arrangements at the centres.
