Election Commission has appointed Prashant Kumar as DM of Nawada and Karthikeya Sharma as the new SP of Nawada, who will now handle the Lok Sabha election work in Nawada. Along with Nawada, DM and SP of Bhojpur have also been changed.
DM Ashutosh Kumar Verma and SP Ambarish Rahul were removed.
Keeping several allegations in mind, the Election Commission of India had removed Nawada DM Ashutosh Kumar Verma and SP Ambarish Rahul. The Election Commission had said in the order given to the Chief Secretary of Bihar that now Ashutosh Kumar Verma and Amrish Rahul will not take part in the election work as DM and SP of Nawada. Only after this, Prashant Kumar and Karthikeya Sharma have been posted on Thursday, who will soon reach Nawada and take charge.

The new District Magistrate of Nawada, Prashant Kumar is a 2015 batch IAS officer of the Indian Administrative Service. Earlier he was holding the post of General Manager of Bihar Development Mission.
This is Nawada’s new SP Karthikeya Sharma
The new SP Karthikeya Sharma is known as a very sharp police officer. The new SP Karthikeya Kumar is a 2014 batch IPS officer. Karthikeya’s birthplace is Jharkhand. His father worked in the coalfield. His primary education took place in Ranchi. He had given his 12th examination from Ranchi. Did engineering from Kharagpur in the year 2009. Received PG degree from Ahmedabad in 2012. In the year 2021-22, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal from the Home Ministry for uncovering the case of hammer killing in Shekhpura and curbing the crime.
New SP and DM took charge in Bhojpur also
DM and SP of Bhojpur, who were removed before the Lok Sabha elections, were also replaced. The Election Commission has appointed Mahendra Kumar as the new DM of Bhojpur and Neeraj Kumar Singh as SP. Mahendra Kumar is a 2011 batch IAS officer, while Neeraj Kumar Singh is a 2012 IPS officer.
