Whatever the result on June 4, in the four elections held in the last eight years, the lotus has bloomed in the Nagar Vidhan Sabha. At the same time, the cycle has run fast in the rural and Thakurdwara assembly constituencies. The election results will tell how successful both the parties were in saving their strongholds in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Moradabad Lok Sabha constituency comprises five assembly seats (Badhapur, Kanth, Thakurdwara, Moradabad city and rural). Of these, Badhapur assembly constituency falls in Bijnor district. On April 19, 62.18 percent voters participated in this great festival of democracy.
Before this, four elections have been held from 2014 to 2022. In this, Lok Sabha elections were held twice and assembly elections were held twice. According to the results of these four elections, BJP won all the six seats in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and SP-BSP alliance won all the six seats in the Mandal in the 2019 elections. At the same time, in the 2017 and 2022 assembly elections, SP had an upper hand in the district.
According to the results of the assembly constituencies of Moradabad Lok Sabha in these elections, BJP has been invincible in the city assembly constituency. The voters here have supported BJP in all the four elections. The party has not lost here yet. On the other hand, the voters of rural and Thakurdwara assembly constituencies have been with SP. SP has won here in the last four elections. At present, the leaders of both the parties will keep an eye on the results of these assembly constituencies in the counting of votes on Tuesday.
