Famous as Bollywood’s dream girl and BJP MP Hema Malini is leading from Mathura. Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan, who is contesting from Gorakhpur on a BJP ticket, is leading over SP’s Kajal Nishad and BSP’s Javed Ashraf. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Kishan won from Gorakhpur by a margin of 3,01,664 votes against Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate Rambhual Nishad.

Another Bhojpuri cinema star contesting on a BJP ticket from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh is trailing behind SP’s Dharmendra Yadav. Lok Sabha Elections In 2019, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav won this seat. However, in 2022, Akhilesh Yadav stepped down as he was elected MLA from Karhal constituency in Mainpuri district. In the 2022 by-election, Dinesh Lal Yadav emerged victorious by a narrow margin of 8,679 votes.
