Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Lok Sabha Elections Bharatiya Janata Party has released its first list of candidates for 2024. In this list of 195 candidates, the party has also announced the names of its candidates on many profile seats. Which leaders’ tickets were cut?
Tickets of many leaders including Meenakshi Lekhi, Sadhvi Pragya Thakur have been canceled. Apart from this, Gautam Gambhir and Jayant Sinha had sought leave from election responsibilities just before the list of candidates was released. These two leaders were also not given tickets.
Tickets to 34 Union Ministers and Ministers of State also
Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, names of 34 Union Ministers and Ministers of State have been announced. Apart from this, names of Lok Sabha Speaker and two former Chief Ministers have also been included in the first list. BJP has also given tickets to 28 women candidates in the first list. At the same time, 47 young candidates have also been fielded. Out of total 195 seats, there are 27 SC, 18 ST and 57 OBC candidates.
