Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Campaign Stopped For Fourth Phase Akhilesh Yadav Mahua Moitra And Adhir Ranjan Choudhary In The Field


Lok Sabha Fourth Phase Elections: Voting has been done for three phases for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 and voting for the fourth phase is to be held on May 13, for which the election campaign has stopped today on Saturday (May 11). In this phase, voting will take place on a total of 96 seats in 10 states. In this phase, elections are to be held on 25 seats of Andhra Pradesh as well as all 17 seats of Telangana.

Apart from this, 11 seats are included in Uttar Pradesh, 11 in Maharashtra, 8 each in Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal, 5 in Bihar, 4 each in Odisha and Jharkhand and one seat in Jammu and Kashmir. With the end of the fourth phase, the voting process will be completed in 23 states and union territories. Overall, voting will be completed on 381 seats. Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh are also to be held on Monday.

The fate of which giants is at stake?

If we talk about the major candidates in the fourth phase, then Akhilesh Yadav from Kannaj, Omar Abdullah from Srinagar, Union Minister Giriraj Singh from Begusarai, Adhir Ranjan Choudhary from Baharampur, Mahua Moitra from Krishnanagar, Shatrughan Sinha from Asansol, Asaduddin Owaisi from Hyderabad and Kadapa. YS Sharmila is included.

Among these seats, Hyderabad is considered to be the hot seat from where BJP has made Madhavi Lata its candidate. This time Asaduddin Owaisi is competing with Madhavi Lata. Apart from this, Kannauj seat is considered to be the stronghold of Samajwadi Party, from there Akhilesh Yadav is going to face competition from sitting MP and BJP candidate Subrata Pathak.

Also, an interesting contest can be seen in Baharampur seat of West Bengal because Trinamool Congress has made former cricketer Yusuf Pathan its candidate against Congress candidate Adhir Ranjan Choudhary.

Sakshi Maharaj is going to face competition from SP-Congress alliance candidate Anu Tandon from Unnao, while Mayawati’s party BSP has given ticket to Ashok Kumar Pandey from here. Unnao Lok Sabha seat has always been in the news because of BJP candidate Sakshi Maharaj.

Which party won these 96 seats in the last Lok Sabha elections?

Of the 96 seats for which voting is taking place on Monday (May 13), 2019 Lok Sabha Elections BJP won 42 seats, while YSR Congress won 22 seats (Andhra Pradesh), BRS 9 (Telangana), Congress 6, Trinamool Congress 4, TDP 3, BJD, AIMIM and Shiv Sena 2 seats each. Won while NCP, LJP, JDU and National Conference got one seat each.

How many crorepati candidates in the fourth phase?

In this phase, there are 476 candidates who are included in the list of crorepati. Out of which, TDP candidate from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Chandrashekhar Pemmasani has assets worth Rs 5,705 crore, followed by BJP candidate Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, who has assets worth Rs 4,588 crore. In the fourth phase, 65 out of 70 candidates of BJP are crorepatis, while 56 candidates of Congress in second place are crorepatis.
