Lok Sabha Elections 2024: On Tuesday (May 21), Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed a public meeting in Mathurapur in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. During this, CM Himanta said that when I came to Bengal, I first went to Sandeshkhali, my heart was saddened to hear what the mothers and sisters told there. He said, “There, mothers and sisters are being tortured, all this is done by goons like Shahjahan Sheikh, but Mamata Didi did not take any action.”
Addressing the public meeting, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that if goons like Shahjahan Shaikh were in Assam, I would have accounted for him in 10 minutes. He said that I want to tell Mamata Didi that if she cannot take action against Shahjahan, then hand over Shahjahan Sheikh to me, I will take him to Assam and give him an account there.
TMC-Left-Congress decided that Bengal should be reduced to appeasement politics.
While addressing the people of Mathurapur Lok Sabha seat, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma targeted India Alliance. He said that TMC-Left-Congress has ensured that Bengal gets reduced to narrow appeasement politics and can never achieve its development goals. CM Himanta said that BJP will change this.

We will get 25-30 seats in Bengal
Along with this, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said while talking to news agency ANI that we will get 25-30 seats in Bengal. He said that the atmosphere of Bengal has changed, now Bengal has become ‘Modi-like’. Along with this, CM Himanta said that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has just come out of jail and now he has to go to jail again, his mental condition is not good. Therefore, we should not pay attention to their words.
