Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Kamal Nath son Nakul Nath Ashok Gehlot Son Vaibhav Gehlot to get ticket in Congress Candidates Second List

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Lok Sabha Elections Sons of senior party leaders may get a chance in the second list of Congress candidates for 2024. The names of sons of former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath can be included in this list. While giving this information to the English news channel ‘NDTV’, sources further said that All India Congress Committee member Vaibhav Gehlot may be given a ticket from Jalore in Rajasthan, while Nakul Nath may get a chance from Chhindwara seat in Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, it was reported in the English newspaper ‘The Indian Express’ that the Congress leadership wanted Ashok Gehlot to contest the elections but the former CM of Rajasthan did not want to enter the political field this time. He wants his son to get a chance to try his luck again. This is the reason that on Monday (March 11, 2024), the Central Election Committee (CEC) of the Congress approved the name of Vaibhav Gehlot. However, this time he has got a chance from another seat in Rajasthan.

Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot had contested the 2019 elections from Jodhpur seat but he lost to senior BJP leader Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. If the inputs of the sources prove to be correct then he will be seen in the election fray from Jalore. At the same time, Kamal Nath’s son Nakul Nath had won from Chhindwara seat in the year 2019 and he can be seen challenging the representatives of other parties from this seat again.

CEC had held an important meeting on Monday for the general elections. In the meeting, there was discussion on confirming the names of candidates for Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and some other states. Party President Mallikarjun Kharge and former President Sonia Gandhi along with other leaders included in the committee, in-charges of the respective states and senior leaders participated in the meeting. This was the second meeting of the party’s CEC, regarding which sources said that the second list of Congress candidates for the elections may be released in the next day or two.

Congress had earlier released the first list of 39 candidates on March 8, 2024. The names of many senior leaders including former party president Rahul Gandhi were in that list. Rahul Gandhi will again contest from Wayanad seat in Kerala, while a day earlier on Thursday, the CEC had approved the names of candidates for 39 seats in Chhattisgarh, Kerala and many other states.
