The Grand Alliance has finally announced the name of its candidate from East Champaran Lok Sabha seat of Bihar. After much tussle, the Grand Alliance has announced the name of its candidate. For East Champaran Lok Sabha, the question was constantly being raised as to whom the Grand Alliance is making its candidate. Meanwhile, Motihari seat went from RJD quota to VIP. After that many people were presenting their candidature. A new name was emerging every day. Putting an end to all this, Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahni announced the name of the candidate.
Mukesh Sahni from Patna VIP office has given his party symbol saffron to former RJD MLA Dr. Rajesh Kushwaha and made him the VIP candidate. Mukesh Sahni shared a photo giving the symbol to Rajesh Kushwaha on social media. He said that Dr. Rajesh Kushwaha will be the candidate from Grand Alliance on VIP ticket from East Champaran.
Who is Rajesh Kushwaha?,
VIP candidate Dr. Rajesh Kushwaha is a doctor by profession. Kesariya contested the 2015 assembly elections on RJD ticket and reached the assembly. He had also presented his candidature in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, but he could not get the ticket after the Motihari seat went to RLSP. After that due to some reason his ticket was cut in the 2020 assembly elections. Nevertheless, he contested the elections as an independent and got a good amount of votes, due to which the Grand Alliance candidate had to face defeat.
Since then Rajesh was continuously staking claim for the Lok Sabha ticket. But once again Motihari seat went to VIP quota in the Grand Alliance. After that many people tried hard to get the ticket. At last Dr. Rajesh Kushwaha was successful in getting the VIP ticket.
First took VIP membership, then got the ticket
VIP party’s national spokesperson Dev Jyoti said that the name of the Lok Sabha candidate from East Champaran has been announced after consultation with the party’s national president Santosh Sahni. On this occasion, party founder Mukesh Sahni gave the party symbol to Rajesh. It is noteworthy that VIP has got three seats in the grand alliance, Jhanjharpur, Gopalganj and Motihari. He said that candidates have been announced for all three seats.
Six-time MP Radha Mohan Singh is in front
From East Champaran parliamentary constituency, NDA has made Radha Mohan Singh, a six-time MP and Union Minister, its candidate for the tenth time. His name was announced a month ago, while the Grand Alliance announced its candidate late on Friday night. There will be a one-on-one election fight between Radha Mohan Singh and Dr. Rajesh.
